Atomic Elroy

I’m taking a new approach to blog entries. I’ll be posting just art related items here from now on. It’s reactionary. I can’t see how journaling on line can be anything but be boring! So this is my last post in which I’ll divulge non art related information. This blog will be an advert for ATOMIC ELROY. I’ll still rant, yet only about art. If you want to converse with me call me.

It’s the last week to go see “InVIDnation” at the BAC. Which I’ve heard from a little birdie will Be Parker Darling’s last show curated there!

I got a work accepted at THE LAB in Denver ( Lakewood actually). It’s a video titled “SHOOT”. I made it from pseudo found footage. I was A.D. on a shoot that was shot on 35mm film. I had to supply a miniDV tape for the video assist rig, and then when the shoot was over I used it to make the work. It’s abstract cuts of the lens being opened on the 35mm camera and the blurriness that followed interspersed with other random shots, I later laid down a audio track of some people playing basketball and viola… SHOOT! It’s always been a favorite of mine so I’m glad it’s getting some ‘air’ time. As soon as I get more info on the opening etc. I’ll post it here. It’s mid June.

Well I’ve not put a post here for so long that I’d forgotten to do so… HUH?

OK… STUDIO 802 has been busy. It’s just not been being used as a public venue. I’m using it to make conceptual artistic manifestations that are being displayed in other venues. I could of double posted all the stuff from Atomic Elroy’s Trinity Project but that is just not my style. If you clicky on the linky all will be revealed.

Hope to have our performance project up in a few months, and perhaps we’ll premiere it at 802.

Now that thing have simmered down a bit I’m going to re-evaluate the web presence and will quit likely consolidate everything to theatomicelroy.com portal.
